D-Pro French Dressage Saddle
Each bespoke Delago saddle is individually handcrafted to meet the highest standards by Delago in France.
The D-Pro was developed with Jeroen Devroe, (8x Belgian Grand Champion, ranked in top 30 world's best Grand Prix riders). This saddle is the result of many years of intensive research and partnership with International riders, vets and therapists. Research into different types of panels has been the key to our success.
Tree: Wooden
The tree is the most important aspect of the saddle. It is what ensures the proper fit of the horse, the balance of the rider, and overall strength of the saddle. The generous wide seated tree and open head prove to be extremely comfortable for both horse and rider.
A program of constant investment in the latest technology has placed our team at the forefront of Saddle Tree Manufacturing.
Leather
Carefully selected to suit the specific parts of the saddle:
>Flap & skirt: a unique wax dipped Vegetable Tanned leather. Tanned using tannin and ingredients found in the leaves, barks, woods, nuts and galls of various trees. Very strong & very little stretch. The final finish is a wax bath.
>Seat & knees: is the finest, soft French leather
>Smooth or waxed leather finish available
Panels
Many years of research have resulted in opting for foam panels, designed to accommodate the many different types of horses we find today and to distribute weight & pressure evenly along the horse's back. Many advantages include: no shifting or compressing; resilient; fit comfortably to the horse; are consistent, no human error involved.
